Meet Our Therapists

Jalisa Battles, LMHP-S

Jalisa Battles, MSW, holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work and has dedicated her career to helping individuals and families navigate life’s challenges with confidence, resilience, and hope. She brings a wealth of experience providing mental health services to diverse and underserved communities. With deep insight into the systemic and cultural factors that shape mental health, Jalisa creates safe, affirming spaces where every person feels understood and empowered.

Her work centers on relationships, self-esteem building, personal growth, and healing, helping individuals cultivate emotional regulation, strengthen communication, and develop practical tools to thrive in every area of their lives. Jalisa’s expertise lies in culturally responsive care, trauma-informed practices, and strength-based approaches that honor each individual’s story. She believes that healing begins with feeling seen and heard, and she works alongside clients to build confidence, nurture self-awareness, and foster meaningful connections. Her philosophy is simple: “The best version of ourselves already lives within us; therapy is the process of uncovering and nurturing that truth.” Jalisa is committed to meeting every client exactly where they are, honoring their journey, and guiding them toward lasting transformation and wholeness.

Therapist Spotlight

Pareis Kenney, LMHP-S

Pareis Kenney, MSW, is a master’s-level therapist who provides a safe, trauma-informed environment where teens and adults feel heard, supported, and empowered to make meaningful changes in their lives. She earned her Bachelor’s in Social Work from Virginia Union University and a Master’s in Social Work from Walden University, specializing in children and families. Pareis has extensive experience providing therapy in home and community settings, helping individuals manage anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and major life transitions. Her approach draws from techniques informed by Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), combined with compassion, insight, and cultural awareness. She is passionate about helping clients identify their strengths, build coping skills, and move forward with confidence and balance.

At the heart of her work, Pareis believes healing happens through connection. She feels honored to walk alongside her clients as they build resilience and move toward peace, confidence, and overall well-being. She carries with her the words of Mandy Hale, “Trust the wait. Embrace the uncertainty. Enjoy the beauty of becoming.”

Jennifer Loney, LCSW

Jennifer Loney, LCSW, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Virginia with over a decade of experience supporting adolescents, adults, couples, and families through life’s challenges. Her trauma-informed, person-centered approach creates a safe and supportive space where clients can explore their stories and begin healing. Jennifer works with adults who have experienced trauma, betrayal, or abuse and who are navigating depression, anxiety, low self-worth, or relationship challenges. With compassion and clarity, she helps clients move forward with intention, reclaiming trust, inner peace, and a renewed sense of self. A graduate of Virginia State University and Walden University, Jennifer integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) approaches and other evidence-based practices to meet each client’s unique needs. She believes that while our past experiences shape us, they do not define who we become. Guided by the words of Stephen Richards, “The only time you fail is when you fall down and stay down,” Jennifer brings warmth, authenticity, and practical strategies that help clients build resilience, restore balance, and evolve toward a life that feels whole and aligned.
